Rumi was a Sufi Muslim from the 1300s. He is revered in Turkey where I lived for two years. Some Turks I knew were very surprised that Rumi’s books of poetry are bestsellers in the U.S.
One of my favorite Rumi quotes is:
“The wound is the place where the light enters you.”
His writings are comforting and enlightening.
